Happy Camp, California FishingFishing:  This area is one of the best locations in northern California for salmon and steelhead fishing.  Steelhead range in size from 3 to 8 pounds and fish up to 15 pounds are landed each year.  The Klamath River is famous for a fall run of "halfpounders" (fish up to 3 lbs), providing plenty of action on light tackle.  Trout fishing is excellent in the crystal clear creek tributaries and nearby high mountain lakes.
